    Description

    These are High Quality, “High-Pass” - Treble Bleed Circuits for your electric guitar. Hand soldered in the USA using: .001uF “Orange Drop” - CDE 716P 600V Polypropylene Film/Foil Capacitors with tinned copper leads, ± 5% and 150k ohm ±1%, 1/4 W (0.25watt) metal film resistors. This kit is wired in series (“Kinman Style”), which some people prefer, but I do have several wired in parallel in another listing. (284355899708)
    I make these kits myself, as I too am a guitar “tinkerer” and thought it would be cool to make these already assembled, high quality kits available to all at a fair price. I just think this is one of the easiest and non-invasive ways to “smooth out” your tone and not loose those “highs” when you back off on your volume control. You just simply solder this capacitor/resistor kit to the input and output lugs of your guitars volume pot(s) and start realizing a much smoother and uniform sweep between 1 -10 on your volume control. You also will maintain most of those “highs” when you turn down as well. In other words, less “muddy”. The best part about it is, if you don’t like it, unsolder it or “clip” it off and you’re back to what you had! Of course you could always experiment with other values of capacitors/resistors, until you found a combo that works for you.
    Ok, all that being said, the values used here are pretty much a standard “starting point” that many manufacturers use and many kits you will find like this one use as well. Like I mentioned above, there are myriad combinations you can experiment with, but most professional sound engineers and “guitar modders” have concluded that these values work best for most pick-ups. Finally, I am in no way an electrical engineer, but there are plenty of very knowledgeable engineers and “modders” out there that can show you how to install these easy, passive kits, as well as lead you into the seemingly infinite number of combinations and permutations of capacitor and resistor values, but again, the values used here are pretty much considered “standard”.     Note: The approximate measurements (in mm) on the Orange capacitors are L15xW3xH7 with approximately 50mm lead lengths. The resistor sits about 5mm from the bottom of the capacitor to the top of the resistor. Please measure your control cavity controls to ensure you have the needed room. You can also bend the capacitor leads to fit prior to soldering. I apologize for all the details, I just want to make certain that all the info is available to you that I can provide.
