    Description

    This is a vintage mid-century sterling silver seal pin by well-known Woolrich, Maine artisan Clifford Russell (1907-1975).Mr. Russell was inspired by from his surroundings. His jewelry included images of bugs, bees, blueberries, shells, lobsters, sea kelp, fish and sea animals. This lovely seal is crafted of sterling silver. It's body has an interesting finish which seems burnished and lightly etched to represent seal fur. It has a large blueish green eye set in a smooth bezel on a whiskered face.This graceful sea creature is 3-1/8 inches long. An applied plaque is signed Sterling, Hand Made, Russell.
