Mudlark Pipe Stem Bead Bracelet fr Finds along Thames River England Unisex Large
This unique hand made bracelet is created from antique pieces of old pipe stems found along the foreshore of the Thames River in England. The ceramic smoking pipe stems were discarded into the river centuries ago. I have cut the stem pieces into slices to make them into beads and strung on leather cord. The widths and colors vary. The bracelet design is accented with African glass trade beads for interest. This bracelet contains at least 12 antique pipe stem beads. It is a size Large and measures 9 1/4" end to end. The inside diameter across is 2 3/4". Please check your measurements.  The average width is 3/8". The bracelet is finished with base metal bronze tone toggle closure. This is a one of a kind item...no two alike. I have included photos of the Thames River area where I hunted for the pipe stems. Foraging along the Thames for artifacts is a pastime in England which is called, "Mudlarking". I have also included photos of my cutting process on diamond saw for your interest. SHIPPING DETAILS:  We ship via USPS with insurance on all our items.  If package is less than 13oz it will be sent First Class.  If package is over 13oz to 5 lbs it will be sent Priority Mail.  If package is over 5 lbs it will be sent Priority Mail or Retail Ground.     Book packages less than 5oz will be sent First Class.  Book packages over 5oz will be sent Media Mail.
