This Battlestar Galactica Life Size commanders helmet is Super Cool Lit with Led Bulbs!
This Lamp was done as a tribute for Galactica fans and as a test to create a more solid 3D printed example.
Long-Lasting LED bulbs using USB connector. A high quality long lasting battery pack included with microchip led light..
~The micro-chip light used for backlighting is necessary for the power pack to remain on.

120+ Hours to Print !
Correctly Cleaned finished, sanded, cleaned again and painted with high quality epoxy primer 2(coats),
wet sanded then four coatings of epoxy resin over the entire helmet.
Four coats gold paint.
Wet sanded again, cleaned again, Then sprayed with three coats of U.V. resistant "2x" Lacquer.
The eagle was printed on an SLA type printer and has nice detail and attached using two-part epoxy.
The inside is finished with quarter inch high density high quality rubberized foam. And includes vent holes and a vent on the back cover.
This item illustrates successes and failures in it's finish work.
The failures include a (non-structural) paint crack and ripples in the resin. And some paint flaws.
The successes are how well the Epoxy Resin process added to its strength and Weight (2+ lbs.)
And that it looks Amazing on display...
