    Description

This is a handwritten ledger book and it is full of names, wages, jobs performed.  It is a hardcover book measuring 7.5x12".
The cover is quite worn around the edges and the sewn binding is visible on the spine because the leather edge has worn away, but the book is still holding tight.  There is scuffing on the cover, plus dirt and stains.  The pages show tanning due to age.   Some of the pages have folded corners, some have rusted paper clips attached, and some have minor damage around the edges.  It looks like the previous owner pretty much opened the book and wrote in it, not in order.
It begins 1957 and lists names and amounts paid for hauling of trash.  Then it skips to 1967-1985 , skipping some years. Then after a few blank pages, it continues with 1957.  There is writing on most pages, with 18 blank pages.  There are many chits inside, plus a newspaper article, notes, and a 1961 tax statement.
This came from an estate sale in South Charleston, Ohio.  It seems the previous owner hauled away trash and furniture, but I have no idea what the business name was, as it isn't written inside.  A neat bit of history.
