    1931 Ontario Treasurer Cover...
    This lot consists of a "Mailing Folder", combination of envelope and letter from the Treasury Department to enclose a check for a school grant to the West Lorne Public School.  Things were a lot simpler then.   The cover is metered House of Assembly, Aug 28 1931, 3 cents, Canada Postage, Meter 4044, in green ink.   The backstamp indicates it arrived the next day in West Lorne.   The inside is a polite note from F. Martin Turnbull, Assistant Provincial Treasurer
    The cover and the inside message sheet are folded up neatly,  and although one wing is torn in half, condition is about ex, and size is almost 3 1/2"x just under 6".
